KC Wildcats is a volunteer-run basketball club serving athletes across Ellensburg, Thorp, and Kittitas.
Our teams are built from the players in our community — not recruited rosters pulled from outside the valley.
Every season looks a little different. Every team reflects the group we have in that moment — and our job is to develop that group as far as it can go.
We’re more structured and competitive than recreational basketball, but we’re not an “elite pipeline” program.
We don’t recruit.
We don’t promise exposure.
We don’t build teams around rankings.
We build teams around players.
How Teams Actually Work
Playing time is guided by development and team needs.
Younger grades focus on experience and development
Older grades earn playing time based on SAGE standards
Coaches make decisions based on readiness, effort, and game situations
Every player who meets expectations will play — but not equally, and not in the same roles.
Growth doesn’t happen at the same pace for every player.
Not every season looks the same. The standard does.
